EQUAL CARE Evidence launches today, powered by EvidenceHunt – Europe’s leading clinical evidence platform
A thorough literature search takes up to two hours. The average clinical consultation lasts 7 to 12 minutes. Yet precision medicine requires evidence that is specific, structured, and findable quickly – which, for sex- and gender-specific evidence, is rarely the case.
As a consequence, this evidence stays out of reach for most healthcare professionals at the point of care.EQUAL CARE Evidence closes that gap.
What is EQUAL CARE Evidence?
EQUAL CARE Evidence is an AI-powered research assistant that makes sex- and gender-specific medical evidence accessible in seconds. Ask a clinical question in natural language. Get back structured, cited answers that highlight sex- and gender-specific differences with full traceability to the underlying scientific sources.
It is the first interface to the EQUAL CARE Platform: the same platform that won the Reuters Pharma Award in 2025. Now accessible to anyone working with medical evidence.
Why this matters and who is it for
Women are 1.7 times more likely to experience adverse drug reactions than men. Dosing, treatment response, and disease presentation differ between women and men across almost every major therapeutic area, yet the majority of clinical trials have historically been conducted on male populations. The evidence to practice gender-aware medicine exists. What has been missing is the infrastructure to make it searchable, structured, and usable at the speed clinical practice actually requires.
Healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and clinical teams can find gender-relevant evidence without spending hours in the literature. Researchers can detect sex-specific findings across large bodies of publications, identify gaps where sex-disaggregated data is missing, and accelerate literature reviews. No new workflow. No separate platform. The answer to the clinical question you would have asked anyway, now with the gender lens it has always been missing.
EQUAL CARE Evidence is built to be that infrastructure. This is the first step. We are building more.
Built with EvidenceHunt
To make this possible, we partnered with EvidenceHunt, the clinical evidence platform trusted by tens of thousands of healthcare professionals across Europe. Their infrastructure provides the search quality, database coverage, and clinical relevance that professionals already rely on, and enables partners to build specialised clinical applications. Our gender-analysis framework sits on top: translating clinical questions into structured queries, filtering for sex- and gender-specific findings, and returning answers grounded in peer-reviewed research and guidelines.
For EvidenceHunt, EQUAL CARE is the first partner to build a specialised clinical product on top of their infrastructure. For us, it means launching with search technology that healthcare professionals already trust. This collaboration reflects a broader shift toward modular clinical evidence systems, where specialised applications are built on shared, high-quality foundations.
From Philippe Habets, co-founder of EvidenceHunt
From the start, we’ve seen EvidenceHunt as both a product for clinicians, researchers, and life sciences professionals, and as a foundation for other clinical applications.
With EQUAL CARE, we’re seeing the first example of a partner building a specialised product on top of that foundation, and we think gender medicine is exactly the kind of area where this approach can have immediate impact.
What excites us is not just this launch, but what it represents: medical evidence becoming more modular and adaptable to specific use cases – within our own platform, and through integrations that extend it into new contexts. This is the direction we believe the field is moving in, and we’re very happy to see EQUAL CARE leading the way here.
